FREE OSA YOUTH MODULES COURSES

Attention all Recreational League Coaches:

We know how important it is to all of our parents & parent/coaches that our children continue to improve their skills and develop a life long love of the game of soccer. PCSI wants you to achieve your goals, and we want to help by providing opportunities for you to begin & continue an ongoing coaching education program.

Good News!!! … The PCSI Board has agreed to offset the cost of your age appropriate Youth Module, (Youth Module 1, 2, or 3), for every active recreational coach this season. (If you coach more than one recreational age group, you may attend both age groups.)

Here’s how it’s going to work….

The Youth Module courses will be conducted by OSA, right here in Ponca City, at Woodridge Soccer Complex, on the  Saturday and Sunday prior to the beginning of the recreational season.  School is already in session, so you won’t even loose an additional weekend of the summer to attend your course.   We will have already had the coach’s meeting and will, hopefully, all be practicing to get ready for our first games.  What a great opportunity to hone those coaching skills, and get some fresh ideas for your practice sessions!

How to Sign-up for a Youth Coaching Module:

1) Log on to the Oklahoma Soccer Association (OSA) website. (www.oksoccer.com)

2) Next, click on the “Coaches” menu button on the left.

3) Scroll down to the section “U6 Module, U8 Module, and U10 Module Courses”.

4) In the lower right hand corner of this section, click on “+learn more” to follow the link to the course dates and listings.

5) Choose the appropriate listing from the Ponca City course dates that coincides with the age of players you are coaching:
• The PCU U6 Registration Link is for U5-U6 Coaches (Youth Module I).
• The PCU U8 Registration Link is for U7-U8 Coaches. (Youth Module II).
• The PCU U10 Registration Link is for U9-U10 Coaches. (Youth Module III).

6) Fill out the online registration with Got Soccer and pay the $15.00 fee online. (PCSI will give you a check for the full $15.00  following your completion of the course on the day of the clinic. We are doing this online and then reimbursing you, because if we pay in lump sum, by check, instead of online individual registrations, the price of the course increases from $15.00 to $25.00.  This way we save your club $10 per coach. Additionally, OSA needs your e-mail address to contact you with course information.)

7) If you attend multiple courses, you must register and pay for each course individually.

8) You will receive an e-mail from Oklahoma Soccer with a link to download your course materials. Follow the instructions in the e-mail, and BRING YOUR COURSE MATERIALS TO THE COURSE ON YOUR TRAINING DATE!

9) Don’t Delay! We have not had a Youth Module Clinic here for several years. OSA is requiring that coaches have their appropriate coaching modules, and we are now required to uphold this policy. Why wait and be forced to drive to a metro location to get the same training as you can get right here at home? A full turn out is essential to ensure that we can continue to have further licensing courses in the future, and more importantly it’s essential for the success & growth of our children and club. Besides, this is great material for the first year coach as well as a resource for all coaches who need some fresh ideas!

10) Have a fun filled & productive soccer season!!
