Windows Media player or other embeddable player is cumbersome to post, requiring HTML knowledge and presupposes that the codec used is going to be available on all viewer’s machine, definitely not always the case.

For maximum video compatability (reaching the largest audience without special support download required) embedded FLV (Flash Video) is recommended. This does however mean that the poster will need to convert their video to FLV format before uploading and posting. FREE APPLICATION TO DO THAT HERE

When your video is converted to FLV and ready to upload there is an FLV button on the HTML toolbar (see “Visual” tab and “HTML” tab at top right of post editing box) that will simplify posting the embedded FLV
